Jennie Searle is a self taught watercolourist and has been exhibiting and selling her work for the past thirty four years. She mostly paints detailed pictures of flowers and still life but also enjoys painting houses and gardens (mostly to commission). Along with the watercolours much of her latest work has been in photography, available on dramatic canvases. Her daughter Phiney (short for Josephine and pronounced Feeny) is also an artist, specialising in ceramics.
Jennie paints china as well as watercolours, has written and illustrated five small books of poems, makes silver jewellery and felt as well as turning her hand to many other crafts.
Also featured in the gallery are: Vicky Sturdy's delightful collectors' dolls, each one an individual character; beautiful hand made books by Cath Ray - no two alike and all numbered; hand dyed threads and inspiration packs by Gillie Anne.
